Mitsubishi Models We Service

At Zima Automotive, we work on a wide range of Mitsubishi models, including:

SUVs

Mitsubishi Outlander: A midsize SUV with available AWD and plug-in hybrid configurations, built for drivers who want fuel flexibility and everyday capability in one package.

Mitsubishi Outlander Sport: A compact SUV with available all-wheel drive in a more maneuverable footprint, a sensible choice for drivers navigating a mix of local streets and open roads.

Crossovers

Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross: A compact crossover with distinct styling and available AWD, well-suited for mixed driving conditions across Clark County and beyond.

Sedans and Hatchbacks

Mitsubishi Lancer: A compact sedan with genuine performance heritage. Though no longer in production, plenty of Lancers are still on the road and deserve quality, attentive service.

Mitsubishi Mirage: A subcompact hatchback that prioritizes fuel economy and affordability, one of the lowest costs of ownership you will find in any vehicle category.

Mitsubishi Repair & Maintenance Services

Mitsubishi vehicles range from AWD-capable SUVs to bare-bones commuter hatchbacks, and each comes with its own service priorities. We tailor every appointment to what your specific model actually needs.

Our services for Mitsubishi owners include:

When a warning light appears or something feels off, we run a full diagnostic to identify the source accurately before recommending any repair.

Regular oil changes are essential, especially on higher-mileage Mitsubishi engines that depend on clean oil to stay protected between services.

Noise, vibration, or a pedal that feels softer than it should are all signs your brake system needs a closer look. We inspect pads, rotors, calipers, and fluid before recommending any work.

Humid Ohio summers put real demand on your Mitsubishi's A/C system. If airflow has weakened or cooling feels inconsistent, we diagnose the full system and handle the repair.

AWD Mitsubishi models take on varied terrain, and freeze-thaw road damage across Clark County adds up on struts, tie rods, and bushings over time. We restore proper ride quality and alignment.

Vibration at speed or uneven tread wear often points to a balance issue. We offer standard and road force balancing to get your Mitsubishi riding smoothly again.

Mitsubishi Problems We Frequently Repair

Certain issues come up consistently as Mitsubishi vehicles age, many tied to the CVT transmissions found across the lineup, local road conditions, and the wear that comes from our corner of Ohio's seasonal extremes:

CVT transmission hesitation and wear: Mitsubishi relies heavily on continuously variable transmissions, and hesitation, shudder, or sluggish response under acceleration are the most common concerns we see on higher-mileage models.

Cooling system failures: Water pump wear, slow coolant leaks, and thermostat issues appear more frequently as Mitsubishi vehicles age, especially those that have gone through multiple freeze-thaw cycles without cooling system maintenance.

Brake wear from mixed driving: AWD models used for both local errands and longer commutes develop uneven pad and rotor wear over time. We catch this before it turns into a more costly repair.

Electrical and sensor faults: Oxygen sensors, crankshaft sensors, and throttle position sensors trigger check engine lights with more frequency as mileage climbs.

Strut and suspension deterioration: Potholes along Route 68 and salt-treated roads through winter take a real toll on front struts, control arm bushings, and alignment.

Oil consumption on aging engines: Some higher-mileage Mitsubishi four-cylinder engines burn oil faster than expected between services.

Catching these problems early keeps small concerns from turning into costly repairs.

I’m so glad I found Zima Automotive for my auto work! My car had a major overheating issue that no less than four separate mechanics had told me was unfixable. I had put up with blasting my heat on max year round for about two years until Max from Zima Automotive found out about my issue and assured me that he could fix it. Zima came through, and I’ve never thought of going anywhere since. Whether its routine or unusual, they’ve always done stellar work. Their prices are fair, and their communication skills are refreshing. I would highly recommend Zima Automotive to anyone.

Took my minivan to Zima Automotive because the automatic sliding passenger door wasn’t working. The technicians diagnosed the problem and worked relentlessly until it was fixed, even when the part supply company shipped them the wrong part. They were professional and kept me in the loop during the delays, and gave me a loaner vehicle while they found a solution. While the repair was fairly priced, it was more than I had expected to pay. The owner was understanding and worked out a solution that was gracious and generous. The van door is now fixed. (So is the power steering fluid pump that they found needed repaired after their initial thorough inspection of the vehicle.) I will be taking all my vehicles there now for any maintenance or repairs - and you should, too!
